Eventually, yes. At the very beginning of our work together, we’ll talk about your goals and you can choose the length of your series. We plan an ending at the outset for several reasons, but primarily because Structural Integration is a bit like playing pool: It is a very good idea to let the balls stop rolling before you take your next shot!
This is true at the end of each session—you need time to integrate the work between sessions (you wouldn’t want to do three per week)—and it is especially true at the end of a long series.
After a “significant pause” at the end of a six- or twelve-session series (3-12 months), when you’ve had enough time to let the work percolate through your system, your body will have reached a new state of equilibrium. At this point, you there will be much greater benefit to receiving additional Structural Integration sessions than there would have been if we had just added the sessions to your original series.
